Congratulations! :)
I love your 7 facts and can especially relate to 3, 4 and 5! I'm never disappointed or bored or what not when with animals.
I'd love traveling in a trailer home. I've only been inside one two times and I loved it :)
I also think weddings are a waste of money, which is why my wedding costed 0, but still was so wonderful that it brought tears to my eyes. Hehe :)
Aww mashallah!! I love simple weddings.. I'm sure yours was wonderful :)
Yes so true, animals never disappoint you!!
Assalamu'alaikum Mariam!
Congratulations on your award!
My husband and I drove from New Jersey to Florida last December and over the summer we drove from New Jersey to Iowa (stopping along the way). While we were driving...we thought we'd be the perfect owners of those trailers. They are so expensive!! Just like buying a house! It would be a lot of fun, though.
The other thing I must say is that I agree with you and rose water...simple weddings are the best. I tried to go simple and had it in a masjid...but my parents would not let it go until we had another "wedding" in a real catering hall with the works (an entire year later). My parents still regret that one to this day. Simple is always the way to go...and I'm sure it has more barakah in it, as well!
Assalaam Alaikum Mariam,
You are most welcome! I loved reading your 7 random facts. =)
I would love to try spicy assam tea. What is it like? The only varieties of spiced tea I've had are Somalian (which by the way is delicious) and chai.
I completely agree with you about simple weddings. Insha'Allah, that's how I plan to keep mine. Also, as Sabirah rightly said, the Prophet (sallAllahu 'alayhi wasallam) has said that the simpler the wedding, the more barakah in the marriage.
Wa alykom alsalam ladies!
Sabirah, I LOVE road trips!! Whatever the reason for them may be!! So much to learn, observe, and photograph!!
People make a really big deal out of weddings these days, they spend a fortune on their wedding night!! and all for what?! One night!!
Imagine if they saved this money and did something with it, no matter what that thing is, even if was just a trip to somewhere, they would definitely benefit more!
A simple ceremony somewhere nice would be more meaningful.
Sara, I'll make a post about assam tea inshallah :) it's very soothing and relaxing. Haven't heard about Somalian tea though, what does it consist of?
Somali (not Somalian. My mistake, lol) tea is delicious, Alhumdulillah. Some friends brought me some as a gift over the winter holidays and I absolutely love it!
I believe it's plain black tea infused with a mixture of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves. Sometimes it's made with milk, but I prefer it without milk. I did a quick search and it seems you can find the recipe online!
Omggg! You've been in a helicopterr?? Whyyy?? How was itt??
